A #GivingTuesdayNow Update
(Revised from original blog post.)
At this moment, as the country continues to deal with a global health and economic crisis, GivingTuesday, the groundbreaking global generosity movement, announced #GivingTuesdayNow. This global day of giving and unity is set for May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the enormous need caused by COVID-19.
The day is designed to focus on generosity, citizen engagement, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.
#GivingTuesdayNow aims to encourage generosity in a variety of ways, following public health guidelines — whether by helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes, every act of generosity counts.
Though Challenge Mountain will be raising funds to continue invaluable adaptive recreational programming, “We will also be GIVING BACK by donating 10% of dollars we raise on Giving Tuesday to Good Neighbors Food Pantry in Boyne City,” shares Elizabeth Looze, Challenge Mountain Executive Director. “We hope that you will join us in promoting generosity,”
