REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY:
Reflections From Our Executive Director
Reflecting on the past 18 months, we have seen significant achievements and changes. In 2019, Challenge Mountain offered adaptive recreational experiences to nearly 2,000 participants, provided Resale Store shopping and donating opportunities for the local community, and exceeded fundraising goals. For the majority of 2020, personal, professional and social life has forced changes beyond our control. We are not able to enjoy the recreational and cultural activities we might normally. But, we know it is temporary.
For individuals living with disabilities, this is their daily reality. Challenge Mountain changes this reality for adults, youth and children living with disabilities. Free of charge, Challenge Mountain provides opportunities and resources for these individuals and their families to get out and experience life through recreational and cultural activities.
This Report to the Community highlights the positive achievements of 2019 — and there are more that simply do not fit within this report. Though social distancing
has kept us from providing most of our adaptive programs in 2020, we know the need will still be there when it is safe to gather again.
Thank you for your continued support.
— Elizabeth Looze, Executive Director
