Challenge Mountain’s New Social Club
We want to thank all those who came out and participated in our meeting this past Thursday. Your support reminds us how important these programs are to the community.
To recap a few points from the discussion:
- Activities will vary in size and length. Some ideas suggested included camping, movie night, bowling, Young Americans, skills day, and day adventures to Mackinac Island or Traverse City.
- Costs will be free or limited in price, depending on the activity. We could also establish a low cost yearly fee instead.
- While Challenge Mountain can provide limited transportation at this time, a carpool system will need to be built between parents/caregivers.
- Events will not be on any specific day or time and will vary accordingly.
If you have any recommendations, ideas, questions, concerns or a name for the club, you can submit an anonymous response in our suggestion box by clicking the button below.
We hope to have the inaugural social club event by mid-September, after our summer programing has ended. Keep an eye out for more updates over the coming weeks, we plan on having a poll for deciding the group name and choosing the first activity.
In the meantime, check out our calendar to sign-up for any upcoming events this month. We will have biking, fishing, and kayaking available for participants of any skill level.
We hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend and we’ll see you real soon.
ADVENTURES in the SPRING
While our programs have been limited this past year due to the pandemic, we were happy to host four biking activities with several local schools, including Taylor School, Boyne Falls, East Jordan, and Alanson. We can’t wait to offer even more group programs for the 2021-2022 school year.
