Free instruction and use of equipment is available to participants and their families, schools, individuals, and organizations that serve people living with disabilities. Each year, Challenge Mountain provides over 1,800 individual experiences to new and returning participants and their families through various programs and outings. Safety is our first priority and all staff and volunteers are trained to assist individuals living with disabilities to participate in recreation activities. Our program director and volunteers are engaging and their interactions with each participant ensure that their experience is meaningful and memorable.
Challenge Mountain adaptive programs are designed to promote each person’s potential while spending time with friends and family, learning new things and having fun! Register for programs by calling 231.535.2141 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Offered January – March (weather dependent) at the Challenge Mountain Lodge and Ski Area. Programs occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm for groups and classrooms and by appointment on select Saturdays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm for individuals and families. Special sessions can also be scheduled at local ski resorts upon request. Check the calendar for current events then call or email to schedule a winter adventure.
